Another fun week!!!
Hello hello hello!
This week was SO hot. California is going through this massive heat wave before El Nino hits and it's SO hot, like 115-120 hot with 70% humidity! Crazy right? What is even crazier is the fact that NO ONE has air conditioning!? Keep in Mind that these are million dollar homes with no AC! How that is even possible is so beyond me! You'd think that AC units would be one of the first things on their list of must have things when building a house! I guess some things just aren't meant to be understood!
The heat in a weird way has actually been a blessing, especially when contacting. There has been so many times this past week when people have invited us into their home to "cool off," to fill up our water bottles, or to even offer popsicles (my favorite)! We have met so many new people and have had such amazing spiritual experiences!
The heat has also helped us find our first couple investigators! They are this cute family of three, two parents and one little munchkin. The Dad recently retired from the military of 20 long years and has met many "Mormons" throughout his life! He really admires us and the love that we show towards everyone. We taught him the first lesson last week and it went so beautifully! I loved being able to testify of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I loved being able to share this amazing message that has completely changed my life! I loved being able to strongly and powerfully bear my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the power and strength that can be found in the daily study of it's sacred pages.
I am so blessed to be serving in these beautiful areas of Forster Ranch and San Clemente! I am falling more and more in love with the area, the people and the ward every day!
Thank you so much for all of your love, support and prayers! It's such an amazing feeling to know that although I'm so far from home, that I still have those who love me! You're all in my thoughts and prayers!
I love you all!

PS: ALSO, I got my first parking ticket while doing exchanges with Hermana Garcia this week! Apparently we parked in a place where the road was supposed to get swept! I have no idea what that even means, but I guess it was bound to happen eventually with all of California's crazy parking and rules! I just never thought it would happen within my first two weeks of being here! Haha!
