Happy Monday.
Can you believe that it's already Monday? It feels like it was just yesterday that I was at the Matthew's home signing into my email to read all of your responses of love, encouragement and support and to hopefully find enough time to respond. Thank you all for your love. It's a indescribable feeling to be reminded each Monday of all of your love. It's just the boost I need to continue on throughout our blessing-ly crammed pack week of being in two flourishing wards.
This past week I was constantly being reminded of the reality of our Heavenly Father and for His love for all of His Children. His whole work and glory is to bring to pass our immortality and our eternal life. He loves us so much that He has designed a perfect plan for each of His children which is perfectly tailored and crafted to their needs. I've come to know without a doubt that their is no such thing as "coincidences."
Everything we experience is a part of His divine plan. Every person, every place, every trial or challenge is put into our lives for a reason whether it be for our benefit or for the benefit of others. We are our Savior's hands and feet on the earth today to help buoy up our brothers and sisters from the troubles of life. Always be conscious, aware, and loving to all of those who you pass by you because you never know how much a small act of kindness can mean to someone.
One special experience happened while on exchanges with a adorable Sister in my zone. We had just finished dinner with an amazing member from the Forster Ranch Ward and were trying to figure out who we wanted to attempt to stop by for the remaining couple of hours of the night. I had a list of people who we could stop by, but after spending the entire day "attempting" to see people with no luck of getting in, my companion was started to get defeated. Knowing that I was leading out the area and wanting to get into at least one door, I recommended that we pray asking Heavenly Father which of His children could use our love that night. After flipping through the ward directory multiple times, my eye was caught by a name of a less-active couple who is striving to return to activity. We put the address in our GPS and realized that we were only a couple minutes away. When we got to the home, we were greeted by a frantic husband with a phone attached to his ear who said that it "wasn't a good night." As we were about to turn around, we heard his wife's voice from inside telling us to come inside. She explained how she had been praying for some type of "ray of sunshine" in her gloomy day. Her family had received some really challenging news and on top of all of that she had also lost her job. We were able to follow the impressions of the spirit to testify more boldly then we had ever done before of our Savior's infinite atonement and love for her and her family. He was aware of her and was mindful of her.
Some might say that we were "just in the right place at the right time," however, I know that we were supposed to be her "ray of sunshine" that day. We had been led to her door to be that comfort and aid to lift her from her troubles even if it was only for twenty minutes.
I know that there is no such things as coincidences. Every person that is placed in our path is their for a reason. We are all of our Heavenly Father's children. He loves us perfectly and wants us all to return to live with Him. He has blessed us with eyes to see and ears to hear the needs of our brothers and sisters to help them throughout this journey of life. To stand in place of our Savior for that short period of time to be His hands and His feet.
I love you all SO very much. Each of you has played such a crucial role in my life and in helping me become the person my Heavenly Father wants me to be.
Thank you so much!
Love,
Sister Smith
