Hola Familia!
Como estan? So Transfer calls happened... And I'm staying in Mission Viejo 5th and will be joined by the beautiful, Hermana Warner (She was in the MTC with Hermana Walborn! #small world!)! We are both so excited to work hard and see so many miracles this transfer! We're really good friends and have been joking for transfers that President should make us companions! Dreams do come true in the California Irvine Mission! Haha!
Anyways, these next couple of weeks are full of a lot of craziness and exciting transitions!
On Thursday, our sweet little 10 yr old investigator, Isabel, was baptized. She radiated joy that was contagious to everyone around her. It was amazing to see how everyone in the ward rallied together to help make this day extra special for this little girl. She has been a absolute hoot to teach and always comes up with the best questions! I have love learning and growing together! She has great things in store!
On Saturday, we randomly got a call from a old potential investigator, Luz, saying that she had ran into a member at the market and that she wanted to go to stake conference! We were absolutely shocked! Quickly we made some calls to one of the Hermanas who served in this ward for over a year! Apparently Luz was a miracle contact who completely dropped off the face of the earth a couple of months ago! She came to the adult session of stake conference and loved it! She couldn't stop talking about how she wanted one of the "pasaporte celestial" to be able enter the temple! We are hopefully going to be meeting with her this week!
On Sunday, we had a ground breaking lesson with one of the less-actives we've been working pretty heavily with, Emelia. She told us right when we got there that she wants to start working her way to get back on the path to go into the temple! She acknowledge she has some big changes that she's going to need to make, but that she wants to start doing all she can to make it before the end of the year!
This Thursday, I reach my 9 month (1/2 way) mark. I cannot believe how fast the time goes. I cannot believe how much I've changed, grown and become. You learn so much on your mission about yourself and the plan that God has not only for us but for the specific children in my area. I feel like we get a small glimpse of the love the our Heavenly Father has for us when we see the joy of our investigators progressing, of less-actives coming back to church, of members reaching out to those in need, of seeing these people you grow to love enter the waters of baptism. I promise you it's one of the best feelings you'll ever experience.
This upcoming Sunday, our investigator, Norma, will be getting baptized! I have never met a more prepared person in my entire life (I don't have much time this week, but I'll be sure to tell you all of the details next week!). It absolutely blows my mind to see how God has lead her exactly to this point in her life where she is ready to make those further promises with our Heavenly Father.
God's plan is perfect. There is no such thing has coincidences. Every little choice, every little action is a part of God leading us and guiding us on the path that will help us to become everything he intended for us to be.
I love you all.
You have my Heart.
